For more than four decades, the Plymouth Playhouse, located inside of the Ramada Inn in Plymouth, MN, played host to the infamous Church Basement Ladies. The quaint and comfortable little theater presented plays, small musical acts and concerts to the local community. The playhouse is an intimate 211 seat theater, with each seat being comfortable and roomy. The rows are stacked with plenty of legroom and no visual obstructions so there is not a bad seat in the house. The acoustics are amazing and the furthest seat from the stage is just 25 feet away. Attending any event through the years was a wonderful experience and local patrons were shocked and saddened when the Plymouth Playhouse had its final curtain call in 2018. For the most part the theater has remained dark…until now! Plymouth Playhouse Productions has taken over and promises to breathe life back into the iconic auditorium. With Covid restrictions winding down, Minnesota is ready to get out and enjoy some live music and entertainment and the “ladies”, Alana and Shari are ready to serve up some real excitement in Plymouth. Theatre director / protégé, Kaylee Clauson will join “The Ladies” to head up the theatre program. The 2021 roster will include plays, concerts, comedy shows and lots of other fabulous events!
Plymouth Playhouse Productions will be working with the Green Mill Restaurant to present dinner shows along with the Ramada Inn for room discounts.
We are honored and humbled to pick up the torch so that the curtain will rise once again and the theater will light up and live on.
